Discounted Sweats Information & Examples
Let's face it, we all make mistakes, and crotchgear is no different!
During the process of creating thousands of products each year, both our fulfillment team and suppliers occasionally make goofs. Our number one goal is to provide all of our customers with error free products using the highest quality garments and designs. But let's be real, does the fact something isn't perfect make it garbage? Not at all. A delicious chocolate cake that fell apart during its creation is still a tasty dessert in the end (maybe that should go on a motivational poster).
Likewise, part of our mission at crotchgear is to do Mother Nature one solid and not waste a really great pair of sweatpants when they're considered "defective". As such, we heavily discount and sell our merchandise at cost when we make a mistake. We understand selling these sweatpants "as is" under the terms of no returns/exchanges poses risk on the buyer, which is why we compiled some examples and photos of the types of defects you can expect when ordering 'Discounted Sweats'.
ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES:
It is an important point to make that ALL discounted sweatpants we send our customers closely resemble the unblemished version of the product. However, one of the most common defects we encounter involve heat press issues where designs don't press to the garment the way that they should. This tends to result in a "faded", "rough", or "worn" look like what is shown above. While this look may really appeal to some, we acknowledge that it is not for everyone.
MARKINGS ON THE GARMENT:
Occasionally, our sweatpants supplier sends us sweats with marks on them. We usually notice and return these sweatpants before pressing designs, but rarely we won't catch them until it's too late. What would be an otherwise perfect pair can be made defective by a random marking on the garment.
OOPS...WE PRINTED ON THE BACK INSTEAD OF THE FRONT:
Go ahead and laugh if you feel the need, but you would be surprised how common of a mistake this is for any company in the apparel industry. Days get long, people get tired, and what would be an otherwise perfectly fine print is a print on the wrong side of the sweatpants. No one has to know you're rocking the sweatpants backwards though!
SLIGHT VISUAL ANOMALY WITH DESIGN:
Sometimes, there is just an issue with the design itself (before it gets pressed), as is the case in this 'Just Beat It' example above where the red jacket does not match up properly. Not a huge defect, but a defect nonetheless.
OTHER DEFECTS NOT PICTURED:
- Design placed over the seam when it should be placed beside the seam.
- Sweatpants do not contain drawstring.
- Design placement is off kilter.
You may witness any of these defects above (or in some cases, a combination of these defects) when you purchase 'Discounted Sweats'. If you have any further questions about these products, please contact us. Before contacting us, please keep in mind that it is impractical for us to send photos or give specific details about each pair of defective sweatpants we have in stock. Thanks for understanding!
